KATRINA SQUAZZIN ANNOUNCED AS SIDELINE REPORTER FOR 2026-2027 FIREWOLVES HOME BROADCASTS

OSHAWA, ON – The Oshawa FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced Katrina Squazzin as their sideline reporter for home game broadcasts that will be streamed from the Tribute Communities Centre during the 2026-2027 season.

Squazzin joins the FireWolves broadcast crew of Dan Malta (Play-By-Play Announcer) and Scott Arnold (Colour Commentator) who will provide an exciting and informative look at FireWolves home games for fans watching at home.

Squazzin knows the Durham Region and surrounding area well from her time working in Peterborough for Global News where she covered the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Peterborough Lakers of Major Series Lacrosse (MSL). Most recently she was an associate producer, host and reporter at Sportsnet for three years where she hosted their flagship highlight show Sportsnet Central.

“I’m incredibly excited and honoured to join the Oshawa FireWolves broadcast team,” said Squazzin. “I followed the team’s inaugural season in Oshawa and was fortunate enough to attend a couple of games, witnessing firsthand the passion and pride this fanbase has for its team. I’m looking forward to sharing the stories of the players and organization throughout the season.”

There will be tremendous chemistry on the FireWolves’ broadcasts this season as Squazzin will be working alongside her husband, Dan Malta. They have several years of experience working together professionally on broadcasts for OHL Hockey and the Peterborough Lakers of the MSL. She also has experience working with Scott Arnold on Peterborough sports broadcasts.

“This opportunity is even more special because I get to work alongside my husband, Dan Malta, and my good friend, Scott Arnold,” said Squazzin. “Both have done an outstanding job on the FireWolves’ broadcast, and I’m thrilled to join them.”

The FireWolves look forward to having Katrina Squazzin join the 2026-2027 season broadcast crew and bring incredible storytelling to NLL fans everywhere.
