FIREWOLVES ACQUIRE FOUR ADDITIONAL PLAYERS THROUGH DISPERSAL DRAFT AND A TRADE

OSHAWA, ON – The Oshawa FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) have selected three additional picks in the Dispersal Draft of the Ottawa Black Bears and Philadelphia Wings and added another player through a trade with the Saskatchewan Rush after the conclusion of the draft.

Along with selecting Jeff Teat with the 1st pick in the Dispersal Draft, the FireWolves selected transition player Ron John from Philadelphia, transition player Kevin Brownell from Ottawa, and defenceman Aidan Fearn from Ottawa in the Dispersal Draft.

In addition, the FireWolves selected forward Connor Kearnan from Ottawa as their 13th pick in the Dispersal Draft, but following the conclusion of the draft they traded Kearnan, defenceman Jaxon Fridge, and the 20th pick in the 2026 Entry Draft to the Saskatchewan Rush in exchange for defenceman Holden Garlent.

Holden Garlent is a dynamic defender from Thorold, ON who can lock down the opposing teams’ best offensive players and push the ball in transition. His lacrosse IQ and tenacity will be a perfect addition to the FireWolves veteran defence.

Ron John is a do-it-all type player who can play solid defence and will be a threat in the middle of the floor.

Kevin Brownell is a veteran player with 13 NLL season under his belt. He will provide leadership and a steady presence to the defence.

Aidan Fearn is a faceoff specialist who was selected 53rd overall in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft.

NLL Free Agency will begin on Friday, September 18 and the 2026 NLL Entry Draft presented by Capelli Sport will take place at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 24.
