FIREWOLVES SIGN EIGHT NEW PLAYERS AND RE-SIGN EIGHT RETURNERS DURING FREE AGENCY

OSHAWA, ON – The Oshawa FireWolves have continued to bolster their roster in Free Agency after a successful Dispersal Draft by signing seven new players to contracts and re-signing eight returning players. 

In addition, the 2026 NLL Entry Draft takes place tonight at 6 pm ET and the FireWolves will have the 19th and 33rd picks to add two more players who will compete for a roster spot. Fans can watch the NLL Draft on the NLL’s YouTube Channel starting at 6 pm here: NLL Draft Live Stream

The new players acquired in free agency are:  

• Rob Hellyer, a veteran forward from the Ottawa Black Bear, signed a 1 Year Deal.    
• James Barclay, a defenceman from the San Diego Seals who has 7 NLL seasons under his belt, signed a 1 Year Deal.  
• Laine Hruska, a goaltender from the Saskatchewan Rush, signed a 1 year Deal.  
• Jonathan Gagliardi, a transition player from the Las Vegas Desert Dogs, signed a 1 Year Deal.  
• Curtis Ward, a forward who was selected 62nd overall in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft, signed a 3 Year Deal.  
• Nathan Woods, a defenceman who was selected 64th overall in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft, signed a 3 year Deal.  
• Jeremi Phoenix-Lefebvre, a forward from the Georgia Swarm, signed a 3 Year Deal.  
• Aaron Woods, a free agent forward who played for Halifax and Toronto, signed a 1 Year Deal.  

Returning FireWolves players who have re-signed are:  

• Patrick Kaschalk, a defenceman who produced 12 points (4g, 8a) last season, signed a 3 Year Deal.  
• Taggart Clark, a forward who produced 32 points (14g, 18a) last season, signed a 1 Year Deal.  
• Andrew Kidd, a goaltender who has playd three season with the FireWolves, signed a 1 Year Deal.  
• Joe Nardella, a top faceoff man and defender who missed last season due to injury, signed a 2 Year Deal.  
• Carson Moyer, a forward who played 3games last season with the FireWolves, signed a 1 Year Deal.  
• Dante Kulas, a forward who was on the FireWolves practice squad last season, signed a 3 Year Deal.  
• Joel Coyle, a defenceman who played in 7 games last season with the FireWolves, signed a 1 Year Deal.  
• Zac Masson, a defenceman who produced 2 points (1g, 1a) and 62 loose balls last season with the FireWolves, signed a 1 Year Deal.
