FIREWOLVES TO PICK FIRST IN OTTAWA AND PHILADELPHIA DISPERSAL DRAFT ON SEPTEMBER 15

OSHAWA, ON – The National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced yesterday that the Oshawa FireWolves will have the first selection in the Dispersal Draft of the Ottawa Black Bears and Philadelphia Wings taking place on Tuesday, September 15 at 4 p.m. ET.  

The Ottawa Black Bears and Philadelphia Wings have discontinued operations and will not participate in the 2026-27 season. The NLL will move forward with 12 active member clubs as it prepares for its 40th anniversary season. 

The FireWolves will have the opportunity to pick several marquee players to bolster their roster as they prepare for the 2026-2027 NLL Season. Available players from both teams include Jeff Teat, Brennan O’Neill, Rob Hellyer, Nick Damude, Zac Higgins, Sam LeClair, Callum Jones, Connor Kearnan, Alex Pace, Larson Sundown, and many more talented players.

The NLL Dispersal Draft order is as follows:

  3. Rochester Knighthawks 
  4. Calgary Roughnecks 
  5. San Diego Seals 
  6. Halifax Thunderbirds 
  7. Colorado Mammoth 
  8. Georgia Swarm 
  9. Buffalo Bandits 
  10. Saskatchewan Rush 
  11. Vancouver Warriors 
  12. Toronto Rock 

Following the Dispersal Draft, NLL Free Agency will begin on Friday, September 18 and the 2026 NLL Entry Draft presented by Capelli Sport will take place at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 24.
